Solch eine aufregende Band" - The Quietus

Review

"Shamanistic Amon Düül II meets Banshees sound. Such an exciting band" - The Quietus

"A distinctive combination of psychedelic sound and ethnic flare [that] brings together post-punk and hypnotising traditional Slavic folk in an intriguing mixture that manages to be fun, weird and melancholy all at the same time" - The Calvert Journal

""We Are" is their first international album release and the next element in their rapid rise. The band's trademark post-Siouxsie-and-the-Banshees squall is now more nuanced than ever. There is more depth and space, and more sense of the majestic rumble that the band conjures up in a live setting?an experience in which the ensemble lays down an interlocked, Krautrock-like groove.

Each element is perfectly in place, but played with a savage intensity. “We really wanted to make an album that sounded how we really sound live,” says bassist Anna, “and it seems like we did it.”

"Lucidvox are one-offs. Although wedded to the rock idiom, they augment it by imaginatively borrowing from classical music and Russian folklore a beguiling symbiosis.
The four Moscovites are consummate musicians and phenomenal instrumentalists Galla Ghintoft plays guitar with mesmerising, elegant riffs, Alina Barsukova vocals sung in Russian are thrilling either solo solo and in choral combinations with others, while Nadezhda Samodurova's jazz-influenced drumming and Anna Switchitout's “wandering” bass combine in formidable, boundary- stretching orchestrations.
An utter revelation.”
***** Morning Star

"The musicians are largely self-taught but still play a sophisticated form of trance rock, rhythms that stop and start, fracture and reform. The relentlessness never relents."
**** Financial Times
