Was für ein irrer Sound! Over-the-Top-Worldbeat, hysterisch, eruptiv, mitreißend! Die Band kommt aus Argentinien und ihr ist wirklich nichts heilig. Die coole Frauenstimme wird teils verfremdet, um noch härter und schriller zu klingen. Die Beats sind wuchtige HipHop/Industrial-Mutationen, dazu kommt flächendeckend schlieriger Digital-Lärm, Stromgitarren und ein dreckiger Motörhead-Bass. Die sich überschlagenden Stimmen sind anfangs gewöhnungsbedürftig, der Schrecken lässt aber schnell nach. Dann staunt man geplättet über beeindruckende Klangwucht, satteste Dynamik und Mut zum eskalierenden Krach. Keine Ahnung was es ist Cyber-Ethno-Punk? Jedenfalls nichts für schwache Nerven, auch wenn es in der zweiten Albumhälfte dann etwas gesitteter und postpunkiger zugeht. Veröffentlicht beim unerschrockenen und nicht genug zu lobenden Label Bongo Joe. Auf Tonträger sind Blanco Teta harte Kost, ihre volle Zerstörungskraft entfalten sie aber vermutlich live was ich unbedingt mal erleben will. (Joe Whirlypop)

Riot Grrrl fire and noise meets musical debauchery from Latin America. Born in Argentina in 2017, Blanco Teta is more than just a band. The project melts experimental rock, punk-pop and trash noise to develop a statement that pass over genre limits. The quatuor digs with intensity into noise, dance, avant-garde but also into politic with a clear speech on transfeminism. Rompe Paga is their third record material but also their first LP. Going from trashy skate-punk vibe tracks to serious noise experiences, the band experiments with no limit. Using a lot of glitches effect or digital mixing tools as autotune, the album is a real mind blower. With very political lyrics, Blanco Teta goes further than just a punky project, it demonstrates the power of music and put the audience into something real.
