Buzzsaw Joint ist eine monatlich stattfindende Londoner Clubnacht, die die Fans mit einer hochoktanigen Mischung aus Rhythm & Blues und Rock & Roll Trash betankt. Buzzsaw Chef Fritz hat zudem eine Mixcloud Seite ins Leben gerufen, mit Mixen zum Thema von Sammlern und Jägern rund um den Globus. Das in London ansässige DJ-Duo ist Stammgast bei Musikfestivals und hat eine langjährige monatliche Residenz in einer der angesagtesten Bars der Hauptstadt, wo sie es sich zur Mission 45 gemacht haben, die ganze Nacht R&BFloorfiller der 50er/60er Jahre aufzulegen. Ganz zu schweigen von ihren grenzüberschreitenden Operationen, die Hotspots in Berlin, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Barcelona und Bangkok treffen. Darüber hinaus haben sie in Zusammenarbeit mit der Sängerin Annie Bea unter dem Codenamen DA7 zwei ihrer eigenen Aufnahmen veröffentlicht, "Dopamine Fiend" und "Luxury Kills". Buzzsaw Joint was born of a club offering
Londoners the chance to revel in the sounds
of good ol’ trashy rock’n’roll in all its vintage
vinyl forms. Club top-cat, Fritz, then took the
primitive Buzzsaw sounds online with a
series of savage Mixcloud mixes created by
record fiends from all over the globe. Now,
the high-octane energy of Buzzsaw Joint has
manifested into the physical form with a run
of compilations on Stag-O-Lee. Get your ears
around the wild’n’weird sounds of the
extraordinary and inimitable Buzzsaw Joint!
For lucky cut number seven we buzz over to
Osaka, Japan to sample the collections of a
pair of record obsessed lovebirds. In 2016
acclaimed Canadian DJ Misty met Night Beat
Records store owner and tip-top tune
selector James and now they’re inseparable.
Alongside digging obscure vinyl out of deep
crates worldwide for their store and weekly
radiocore.org show ‘Night Beat Radio’, they
spin dance-crazed booty shakers together at
the wild monthly ‘The!! Beat’ party. Dare you
not to dance to these twisted selections!
