Glitterbeats finest: Auch das vierte Yin Yin-Album ist ein souveräner Trip ins Reich von Global-Disco, Vintage-Groove und Dancefloor-Surf. Die niederländische Band klingt fast schon atemberaubend mondän und elegant, dazu noch partytauglicher als zuletzt. Man darf sich hier in ein flauschiges Bett aus Philly-Streichern und Chic-Gitarren, Cowbell-Grooves und Funk-Bass, Sitarläufen und Disco-Vibe fallen lassen Gesang braucht es dabei kaum. Stilistisch ist „Yatta!“ oft lupenreine 70er Disco, handgespielt und mit milde exotischen Klangfarben angereichert. Auch die Tasten klingen nach Munich-Sound und ein bisschen postpsychedelischen Sixties oder auch mal analog-elektronischen 80ern. Die dominante E-Gitarre hat auch wieder klassische Surfsounds mit Twang- und Reverb-Färbung drauf. Dieses stilistische Spektrum macht das Album kurzweilig und leichtfüßig, auch kleine fernöstliche Harmonien erhöhen den Unterhaltungsfaktor. Samples oder Elektronisches kann ich nicht erkennen hier spielt eine gut geölte Band den beeindruckend lässigen, süffigen und elastischen Sound einer kleiner werdenden hedonistischen Welt.
