Anadol & Marie Klock - La Grande Accumulation
Rezension
"Gözen Atila und Marie Klock vereinen hierfür ihre stilistischen Charakteristiken so natürlich, dass man gar nicht mehr von einer Kollaboration sprechen will, sondern es sich wie eine Vereinigung anfühlt – psychedelischer, französisch-türkischer Neo-Folk-Psych-Synth-Pop sozusagen. ... Ein durch und durch magisches Album.."- Kaput Magazin
Review
Anadol and Marie Klock have teamed up for a joint album, La grande accumulation. They met two years ago at a festival in England crowded with violent seagulls and outsider musicians. Klock being prone to barking on stage and Anadol not laughing at jokes she doesn"t find funny, they straight away had the intuition that they would meet again. And here we are, sharing these six beautiful pop oddballs with you.
" A quirky pop collaboration between artists from Paris and Istanbul, with each half of the pair seemingly pushing the other to greater heights of oddness . hen artists team up for a collaboration it’s difficult not to wonder which artist’s influence will weigh heaviest in the results. For their album La grande accumulation, Turkish artist Anadol and French artist Marie Klock have succeeded in bringing out a zaniness in each other. While Klock’s slightly manic energy and her rapid-fire vocals are the most immediate presence on the album, Anadol’s ability to corral and collage so many disparate elements is what glues things together. ..." - The Quietus
