The Warm Inventions bestehen heute aus Mazzy Stars Hope Sandoval und My Bloody Valentines Colm O'Coisog. Auf dem neuen Album gastieren ferner langjährige Freunde und Kollegen wie Singer/Songwriter Kurt Vile (auf der Vorabsingle "Let Me Get There"), Dirt Blue Gene, Sängerin Mariee Sioux sowie der Straßenmusiker Michael Masley. "Until The Hunter" ist das erste Album von Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions seit 2009 und zugleich die erste Veröffentlichung, seit Mazzy Star 2013 das Album "Seasons Of Your Day" veröffentlichten. Es wurde in den Cauldron Studios in Dublin gemixt und von Mark Chalecki in Los Angeles gemastert.
