Twain ist das Soloprojekt Matthew Davidson. Der wiederum wirkt bei manchen hier auch bekannteren Projekten mit. Bei Big Thief, auf deren letztem Album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You ist er dabei, er ist aktuelles Mitglied der Band von Buck Meek. Und ehemals von The Low Anthem, Spirit Family Reunion und Deslondes. Mit Langhorne Slim, Courtney Marie Andrews hat er live und im Studio gearbeitet.
Ruhiger und zurückgenommener als noch bei seinem Debut Rare Feelings gibt's auf Noon verschlungene, leicht psychedelische, auf knisternde Atmosphäre bauende Folksongs der persönlichen Art.
