19er des Projekts von MC Taylor, aus Court & Spark entstanden, mit viel Prominenz, u.a. Brad und Phil Cook, Jenny Lewis, Aaron Dessner, Josh Kaufman. Ich vermeine Spuren von u.a. Wilco, Tom Petty, Belle & Sebastian oder auch wieder wie schon zuvor rockigem Dylan zu hören, die aber nicht groß auffallen, eh nur ganz punktuell. Wobei der Rahmen von überaus relaxtem überwiegend akust. Folk (Pop) über zeitgenössische dezent rootsige Indie-Pop-Balladen (in z.T. sehr reizvoller wie eigentümlicher Atmosphäre) bis zu erwachsenem reifem zeitlosem edlem teils sonnigem Songwriter-Guitar-Rock/Pop reicht. Am besten aber kommt Letzteres mit R´n´B/Blues-Elementen aufgefrischt (mächtig emotional und packend, fast hypnotisch), ein Folk-Track mit elektronischen Störgeräuschen und im Hintergrund leichtem old-timey-Einfluß (im Pop-Rahmen, suggestiv und originell), sowie ein repetitiv- psychedelisch angehauchtes Stück (ebenfalls ein wenig rootsig). Alle 3 richtig klasse! Oft melodisch überzeugende Musik, Saiten wie Tasten akust. und elektr., sporadisch Mandoline, Pedal Steel, und ab und zu eine extrovertierte heulende Harmonica, die beinahe wie eine E-Gitarre klingen kann.
